Managing multiple online accounts has become essential for businesses today. Whether you’re handling social media profiles, marketing tasks, or customer interactions, having the right tool can make a big difference. Two popular choices for browser automation are SessionBox vs Gologin.
SessionBox is a EU-based vendor originating from Hungary which is mostly targeted at B2B segment. It doesn’t have a great reputation online (not even present on common SaaS review platforms like Trustpilot), however it has a fair share of business clients.
GoLogin, on the other hand, is a US-based company which probably has best reputation online among the antidetect browser market area. It’s known for the ease of use and has a reputation of a good all-round browser for business.
Is SessionBox a good business investment, and what are its pros and cons compared to GoLogin? We’ve done the research for you!
SessionBox: What To Install?
Originally, SessionBox was just a Chrome add-on that kept your browser tabs separate to not get accounts restricted. This was supposed to let you log into any website with multiple accounts.
Thousands of people used it to browse websites with multiple accounts, even though it only had a 3.5-star rating. Now, the vendor has made a full-on separate browser called SessionBox One.
SessionBox One is both a Chrome add-on AND a desktop app, which is a separate browser that hides your identity. The company says the new SessionBox Chrome add-on can turn tabs in your regular browser into separate browsing sessions. It can also run separate profiles in their own new browser called Workstation.
To be honest, this setup took us a while to understand. How does it all work together and what to choose?
SessionBox One Extension
The new extension looks a bit raw, but it’s more modern and clearer than the old legacy one. To use the new extension, you need to download the SessionBox desktop app too, probably meaning the browser app will be the device fingerprinting engine for the extension.
You can make new profiles (and tabs) with just one click, but it makes the tabs hard to use – simply because there are too many. This might be why their pricing says they offer an unlimited number of profiles.
The color code system makes it impossible to use more than 20 profiles. Your eye just can’t tell one color from another, plus it’s really difficult to control so many tabs.
So, a profile (or session) isn’t the same as a tab: it should have some tabs inside it. We couldn’t figure out exactly how it all works.
Session Sync Issues
There are other problems too: the tabs don’t save your session when you close them. This is one of the key features of antidetect browsers, especially for teamwork: they should save, pause, and continue sessions from the cloud.
If you exit as usual and then come back to your profiles, all tabs will start on a blank page. This would mean you’d have to log in all your accounts every day, which is a serious con for any type of work. The profiles are saved correctly when you exit, but for some reason, this doesn’t sync them.
The SessionBox One Workstation Browser
The SessionBox One add-on can also run profiles through their own browser called Workstation. It seems to be its own browser, but it doesn’t have many features (at least for now). Still, the company calls it an “Antidetect browser” on the website.
However, the Workstation feels like an add-on dressed up as a Chromium browser (Chromium is the base for many browsers like Chrome and Edge).
It’s not clear how a user could create and manage 100+ Facebook accounts here. If you’re an active SessionBox user, we’d love to hear your thoughts!
The Workstation seems to have modern privacy features: it can assign proxies automatically, it has an API for developers, it can automate tasks, you can share profiles, and it has team options for Groups. However, it still feels like a product that’s not finished yet.
Quick Summary On SessionBox One
SessionBox One has a great idea behind it, but it doesn’t work well (yet). The tabs look separate and the UI can be effective if you get used to it, but it fails privacy tests and the sessions won’t sync after ending.
This might sound harsh, but we’re considering the fact that the app is not the cheapest one compared to competitors.
GoLogin: Quick Overview
GoLogin is an example of how one tool can work for everything, both for solo affiliates and corporate businesses. Compared to SessionBox, the vendor has a great online presence and is often mentioned as one of the market leaders in the business community.
This browser works on a different scheme: one window per profile. There’s no ambiguity on tabs and sessions like there is in SessionBox. GoLogin also provides built-in proxies (both paid and free) so you don’t have to waste time searching for decent third party IPs.
Compared to SessionBox with its color coded tabs, GoLogin will actually fit to run 100 and more social media profiles. That’s because profiles can be grouped, arranged and organized as you like with tags, notes, folders, mass actions and so on.
GoLogin Features and Ease of Use
Unlike SessionBox One extension and browser, GoLogin has:
- One browser that’s simple for real world tasks
- Browser sessions continue from where you left off
- Stable work record: 99.99% uptime over 2023 and 2024
- Free Forever plan with fingerprint protection
- Free and paid built-in proxies
- Fair team packages
Just like SessionBox, GoLogin offers a 7-day free trial, however in case of GoLogin the trial includes full paid features which is a serious plus. You can also request a demo from the team.
Mobile App and Web Version
GoLogin offers a web version, which you can use from any device. You can start and edit profiles without a computer: they will work on a safe cloud server.
GoLogin is also available as an Android app which is a great pro for those requiring mobile device verifications. For comparison, you can only download SessionBox One browser on Mac and Windows computers.
Pricing Comparison: SessionBox vs GoLogin
Free Plans and Trials
SessionBox doesn’t offer a free plan. There is an $8.99 Hobby plan, but it’s very limited. The Hobby plan doesn’t offer basic fingerprint protection, which made us wonder about who would actually use it and why.
There’s a week of trial period for paid plans, but it’s also more limited in features than GoLogin.
GoLogin offers both: a forever-free plan for 3 profiles + trial of paid features for 7 days with no restrictions when you register an account. The Forever Free plan has no limits on fingerprint protection, only limiting the number of profiles to three.
Paid Plans: Personal Use
- SessionBox’s first paid plan (Professional, unlimited profiles) costs $59.99 per month.
- Similar GoLogin plan (Professional, 100 profiles) costs $49 per month.
Both SessionBox One and GoLogin offer yearly payment discounts. GoLogin offers a big 50% yearly discount compared to 40% from SessionBox.
A year of SessionBox’s first plan will cost $419.88, while GoLogin will cost only $294.
Top Tier Plans
SessionBox One’s top plan (Teams) will cost you $99.99 per month. It has 5 team seats and basic functionality included. As we described earlier, we don’t see how even a small team could actually use this tool even for 20+ profiles.
GoLogin’s Business plan will cost the same $99, but offer 300 profiles + 10 team seats. GoLogin seems more suitable for actual agency use with advanced team control, plus it’s more cost-effective.
We couldn’t compare Enterprise and Custom plans, as there’s no pricing for that on SessionBox One. We don’t see this as a problem because SessionBox is obviously not designed for large-scale use.
Recap: SessionBox vs GoLogin
- SessionBox Chrome extensions have a great idea behind them, however they meet too much technical difficulties for the price.
- SessionBox Workstation antidetect browser app looks more like an extension wrapped into a browser skin and shows an underwhelming performance level.
- GoLogin proves itself as a far more superior, well-developed app. It offers good reliability, full-featured packages and no growing pains SessionBox has.
